Shakib Al Hasan will not take part in the BCB Cup, to be begun on Monday as he will be busy to play the qualifying round of the Champions League for Kolkata Knight Riders.
The recently deposed captain will fly for Hyderabad on Monday at 4 pm. Shakib has been the integral part of KKR during the Indian Premier League (IPL) and he helped them to move up into the semi-final. He will play two matches of the qualifying round on August 19 and 21. If his team qualifies in the Champions League, he would have to stay there for more time.
The BCB granted his leave from the national team after he gave an application to play the Champions League.
He will miss the whole BCB Cup tournament and the practice session with the team once again.
Ahead of the Zimbabwe tour, he was busy with county cricket and could not practice with the team.
He failed to inspire the team during the Zimbabwe tour though had had good performance. However the debacle in the Zimbabwe tour led to his axe from the captaincy.
