The Bangladesh Cricket Board has appointed former South Australian batsman Shane Alan Deitz as the head coach of the national women’s team, this was announced on Thursday.
Under the initial agreement, 38-year-old will Deitz will stay in charge of the Bangladesh Women’s Team until the end of the ICC World Twenty20, 2014.Deitz played 66 first class matches in his ten-year career. He was the high performance coach of Wellington Firebirds and head coach of Wellington in New Zealand before taking up this job
to coach the Bangladesh Women’s team.
His first assignment will be to assess the women players from the conditioning camp that starts on November 16.
