Non-governmental organisation Shapla Neer on Wednesday celebrated its golden jubilee at The Daily Star Centre in Bangladesh capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
‘Shapla Neer always works for development of people.’ said Shapla Neer Bangladesh’s country director Tomoko Uchiyama.
The main objective of the program is to thank the partners and celebrate the glorious 50 years’ journey with the relevant stakeholders through sharing the past and present as well as future plans of Shapla Neer, he added.
Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh Ito Naoki attended the programme as the chief guest.
NGO Affairs Bureau director Tapan Kumar Biswas and JICA Bangladesh office chief representative Yuho Hayakawa attended the programme as the special guests.
The program organised by Shapla Neer Bangladesh office was also attended by different partner organisations, stakeholders and former staff of Shapla Neer.
