Bangladesh’s ace golfer Siddikur Rahman finished joint-37th after closing with one-under-par 71 at the rain-shortened Yeangder Tournament Players Championship in Taipei on Monday.
Siddik stroked three birdies against two bogeys in the last round at the Linkou International Golf and Country Club which saw him move up from his 51st place and end with a total score of one-over-par 207.
The poor finish by Siddik, the first Bangladeshi to win an Asian Tour event, also saw him slip one place to eighth in the Asian Order of Merit list. He won $3,150 from the competition.
India’s Gaganjeet Bhullar fought his way to his third Asian Tour title by closing with three-under-par 69 and won the $500,000 event with his three-day total of 12-under-par 204. 14-time Asian Tour winner Thaworn Wiratchant of Thailand became second with eight-under-par 208.
