Siddikur Rahman, the top professional golfer of Bangladesh, was impressive again in the rain-interrupted second round of the Barclays Singapore Open on Friday.
At the Serapong golf course in Singapore, Siddik started the day on a bad note hitting a boggy at the third hole but came back strongly to hit three birdies at the fourth, ninth and tenth hole to end the day -2 under par.
The second round play was suspended due to bad light and thunder storm after Siddik completed 14 holes with a total score of -6 under par.
‘I had a lot of chances to make birdies as I missed few birdies from inside 10-feet. I’m still fine and happy with six-under but
I’m going to head out to the putting green and work on my putting. Hopefully, I can play as good in the next few days,’ Siddik told reporters.
He will resume the second round game today early morning to finish off his last four holes and then after few hours of break he will continue with his third round game if he makes the cut which is almost certain at this moment.
A total of 204 golfers are participating in the event, which is an Asian major. After the second round, only 70 will advance to the next round and only top 50 players are guaranteed the prize money.
