Siddikur Rahman’s poor run continued was he could only finish joint 26th after the fourth and final round of the $4,00,000 Selangor Masters at the Seri Selangor Golf Club in Malaysia on Sunday.
He began the day in 22nd place with an eye to improve his position and started with a birdie in the 5th hole, then immediately hit a bogey in the 7th again a birdie in the 12th but after that everything went wrong for him as he hit three bogeys in the 13th, 14th and 18th holes to finish with a two-over-par 73 and finish joint 26th in the leaderboard with an aggregate score of three-over-par 287 in four rounds. Siddik bagged $3,382.05 as prize money.
As Siddik’s downfall continued, overnight leader Thailand’ s Pariya Junhasavasdikul holed a pressure-packed five-foot par putt at the last hole to win by one stroke ending a frustrating three-year winless run ahead of India’s Anirban Lahiri and pocketed $68,954 for his second Asian Tour victory.
