Bangladesh’s premium golfer Siddikur Rahman finished seventh jointly with five others in the Mercuries Taiwan Masters in Taipei on Sunday.
Siddik finished the last round with one-over-par 73 to finish the four-round tournament with three-over-par 291. Malaysian golfer Danny Chia clinched the title with three-under-par 285 by scoring three-under-par 69 on the day and surpassed overnight leader Lian Wen-Chong, who got second position with one-under-par 287.
Siddik made two birdies in the seventh and twelfth holes but squandered them with the bogeys in eighth, tenth and thirteenth holes.
The two-time Asian Tour winner, who started the tournament on a good note with three-under-par 69 in the opening round, earned $14,300 as prize money from the $ 650, 000 tournament.
