Bangladesh’s premier golfer Siddikur Rahman returned to form in US$650,000 Mercuries Taiwan Masters when he ended the second round in joint third position at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club’s Tamsui course on Friday. The two-time Asian Tour winner, who also ended the first round in joint third place with three-under-par 69, however had a rollercoaster ride in the second round as he hit six birdies against same number of bogeys and a double bogey to finish with two-over-par 74.
Siddik, who missed six cuts in nine appearances this season, could have ended the day in better position if he had not hit the double bogey in the seventh hole.
After two rounds, Siddik carded a total one-under-par 143.
Meanwhile, India’s Rashid Khan took the halfway lead with a two-under-par 70, staying one shot ahead of overnight leader Danny Chia of Malaysia.
