Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman began his campaign well at the Taiwan Masters on Thursday at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club as he finished round one in a tie for seventh place.
Siddik struck an even-par 72 on the opening day of the US$600,000 event, with Australia’s Scott Hend leading the pack at three-under. The 29-year-old Siddik hit two birdies and as many bogeys, with the two birdies arriving in the 6th and 8th holes and the bogeys in the 11th and 14th holes.
The winner of the tournament will pocket US$120,000.
