Siddikur Rahman was in joint fifth position after the third round of the Mercuries Taiwan Masters with an aggregate score of one-over-par (217) on Saturday.
The 27-year-old golfer posted a one-over-par 73 on the third day in relatively calm conditions at the Taiwan Golf and Country Club after two windy and chilly days when he had posted matching even par scores.
Siddikur was nine strokes off the leader Tsai Chi-huang of Taipei who celebrated his 44th birthday with a seven-under-par 65. The Taipei veteran is in pole position to take home the title as he opened up a six-shot lead on Baek Seuk-hyun of Korea in second place and Filipino veteran Antonio Lascuna a further shot back in third followed by Malaysia’s Danny Chia.
