Suspended off-spinner Sohag Gazi accused the Bangladesh Cricket Board of neglecting his rectification procedure, as it is yet to process his visa for a tour to Malaysia.
Sohag is expected to travel to Malaysia for a two-week programme under former Bangladesh fielding coach Mohammad Salahuddin to remodel his action after the International Cricket Council banned him from bowling for illegal action.
An independent analysis showed that he extended his elbow more than 25 degrees during the deliveries while maximum 15 degrees are permitted.
‘I am thinking to work on my own rather than going abroad,’ a frustrated Sohag told reporters on Sunday.
‘I am yet to obtain my visa, so I am not sure whether I am going or not,’
‘Because I am now out of national team, it seems the BCB hardly bothers about me. Everybody pretends to be busy, leaving everything that is needed for my rectification on me,’ he said.
BCB’s cricket operation chairman Akram Khan admitted Sohag’s visa for Malaysia tour is yet to be processed but assured that it would be done in due time.
‘We are yet to get his visa,’ said Akram. ‘Hopefully it will be completed by next three to four days.’
