Shakhawat Hossain Sohel came from behind to score (-8) under par and share the honours with ace golfer Siddikur Rahman after the second round of the BTI Golf Championship at the Kurmitola Golf Club on Monday. Shakhawat ended the second round with (-3) under par with 69 shots, one less than his more illustrious rival Siddikur Rahman, who finished with (-2). Siddik, who scored (-6) in the first round, was leading Shakhawat by one shot a day earlier. Liton Howladar, Mohammad Zia and Jamal Hossain Mollah are jointly sharing the second position with two over par. Jibon Ali and Abdul Matin remained in distant third with five over par score after the third round Siddik admitted that it was not a very good day for him, but remained confident he will bounce back in the remaining two rounds of the Tk 10-lakh competition. — New Age
