A schoolgirl suffered burns on her face after stalkers threw acid at her on the campus in Rajshahi city on Saturday morning.
She was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
Her family said that at around 11:30am, two unidentified stalkers stopped the girl, a student of class VIII, on the third floor of the school, and threw acid at her when she was going take exam.
They also said that one month ago, a student of the same school harassed her on her way to the school.
The headmaster of the school, after being informed by the girl about the matter, had asked the boy not to do it again.
The victim’s family said that the stalker along with his two of his friends had thrown acid at her.
No case was filed in this connection till Saturday evening.
The school’s headmaster told New Age that they were looking into the matter. ‘If the boy is found involved in the incident, he must be punished,’ he added.
