Stamford University lifted the ULAB Cup trophy for the first time after they beat State University of Bangladesh by 31 runs in the final at the ULAB cricket ground yesterday.
Batting first, Stamford made 139-8 in their 20 overs with Ariful hammering 44 and Rana making 33.
In reply, SUB were restricted to 108-8 with only Maruf contributing 26 runs. For Stamford, Munabbir took five wickets for just 12 runs, picking up the man-of-the-match award.
President of ULAB board of trustees Kazi Shahed Ahmed later distributed prizes among the players.
