Newly appointed Bangladesh bowling coach, Heath Streak will arrive on Monday to join the preparation camp of the national team ahead of their three-match one-day international series against India, said a BCB official on Friday. The former Zimbabwe skipper recently signed a two-year contract with the Bangladesh Cricket Board as a specialist bowling coach and he will work with the national team players and different age-group teams during his 450 days stay in the country.
‘Streak is expected to arrive on June 2,’ BCB’s media committee chairman Jalal Yunus told New Age on Friday.
‘He will join the preliminary camp of the national team probables ahead of the India series,’ said Jalal.
Streak, 40, is one of Zimbabwe’s most acclaimed cricketers and he had also acted as the bowling coach of the national team of his country after his retirement. He is Zimbabwe’s all-time leading all-rounder with 4,933 runs and 455 wickets in international cricket.
