The Bangladesh Cricket Board is all set to send a strong ‘A’ team for the forthcoming tour of India with the inclusion of at least 10 Test cricketers in 15-member squad.
Bangladesh ‘A’ is scheduled to play three one-day matches and a three-day game against India ‘A’ apart from playing a three-day game against Ranji champions Karnataka during the tour that starts on September 16.
It was learnt selectors included Test cricketers- Anamul Haque, Liton Kumar Das, Soumya Sarkar, Nasir Hossain, Mominul Haque, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Al Amin Hossain, Shuvagata Hom and Jubair Hossain.
The squad also featured national ODI cricketer Taskin Ahmed, Arafat Sunny and Sabbir Rahman.
With Rony Talukdar, who played a Twenty20 International against South Africa, also set to be included, the only player likely to be selected in the squad without international exposure is spinner Saqlain Sajib.
Pace bowler Kamrul Islam Rabbi, Mossadek Hossain and Mahmudul Hasan are set to be picked as stand-by players.
The tour will begin with three one-day matches against India ‘A’ at Bengaluru on September 16, 18 and 20 respectively.
It will be followed by a three-day game against Karnataka at Mysore from September 22-24. The Bangladesh ‘A’ team will conclude their tour with another three-day match against India ‘A’ in Bengaluru from September 27-29.
