A residential camp will start today at the Bangladesh Navy Swimming Pool in Banani under the supervision of the Bangladesh Swimming Federation ahead of the 15th FINA World Swimming Championship in Barcelona and 2nd Youth Asian Games in Nanjing,
informed a press release of the BSF on Monday.The FINA World Swimming Championship is scheduled to be held on July 19 to August 4 and the Youth Asian Games will be held from August 16 to 24.
Mahfizur Rahman Sagor, Anik Islam and Mahfuza Khatun Shila of Bangladesh Navy will participate in the World Swimming Championship while Asif Reza of BKSP and Nazma Khatun of Bangladesh Navy were selected for the Youth Asian Games.
The swimmers will prepare themselves under local coaches as the BSF failed to recruit any foreign coach for the upcoming competitions.
