The members of the International Cricket Council and Bangladesh Cricket Board will host a colourful programme today at a city hotel to launch the logo of the ICC World Twenty20 2014 to be hosted in Bangladesh. The one-and-a-half hour programme will have several segments that include music and dance from renowned artists along with a magic show from Jewel Aich after ICC vice president Mustafa Kamal and BCB president Nazmul Hasan give their speech for the audience.
ICC head of media and communication Colin Gibson along with few other members of the organisation have arrived in Dhaka to administer the progress regarding the logo launching programme. The event will formally begin the campaign for the Twenty20 competition to be played between the members and associate members of ICC in the men’s and women’s category .
‘The logo of the tournament has arrived in Bangladesh,’ said Ismail Haider Mallick, a member of the BCB ad-hoc committee on Friday.
‘It will be a 90-minute programme. We are hoping to set the tone of the tournament through a perfect logo launching,’ said Mallick.
Bangladesh Television will broadcast the programme live.
