Simanta clinches gold in C’wealth Weightlifting
Mabia Akhter Simanta clinched one gold and two silver medals for Bangladesh on Wednesday in the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships, now being held in Indian city of Pune. Simanta, who lifted 176kg in 63-kg weight category, became only third Bangladeshi to claim an international gold after Mollah Sabira and Sahriar Sultana Suchi.
