Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will fly to Australia on Friday to seek the opinion of Melbourne-based orthopaedic surgeon David Young for his recent knee injury, said the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Wednesday. BCB physician Debashis Chowdhury said that scan reports have identified a grade one meniscus tear on Tamim’s left knee and his treatment would be based on the opinion of Young. ‘He [Tamim] is a very important player for us and with the cricket World Cup just two months away, our priority is to get him fit in the shortest possible time,’ said Debashish.
