The Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said on Sunday that they are planning to send Taskin Ahmed to Australia for undergoing a biometric test of his bowling action.
Left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny will accompany Taskin in Australia provided a satisfactory result of his test conducted by BCB’s bowling review committee on Sunday.Both Sunny and Taskin were reported for suspect bowling actions after Bangladesh’s opening match in the ICC World Twenty20 against the Netherlands in Dharamsala on March 9.
Taskin had fared reasonably well during his bowling action test in front of the review committee, but BCB’s cricket operation chairman Akram khan said they are yet to be sure about Sunny.
‘We will send Taskin [Ahmed] immediately for his official test in Australia. We will take decision on Sunny after receiving his result of today’s Test,’ said Akram.
‘No date is finalised for their rest, added Akram.
