Popular actor cum director Tawquir Ahmed and promising actress Mithila, for the first time, have recently performed together in a play titled ‘Modhyarat and Jhorapatar Golpo’. The play was directed by Tawquir himself while its story was written by his other half Bipasha Hayat. The story of the play features a lady schoolteacher who teaches in a village school and thinks a lot for the development of that village besides teaching her students. But once, darkness and frustration grabs her and she starts struggling to get release of that darkness. Mithila has played the central role as the schoolteacher while popular actress Nadia has performed another important character in this play. Why Mithila has been selected for the character? While replying to this question, Tawquir said, “Mithila has bee chosen because of the nature of the character. I thought she would be perfect for the role and she proved that I was not wrong.” While expressing her feelings about performing with Tawquir, Mithila said, “It was really a great pleasure for me that I have got chance to work with Tawquir for the first time. He is not only a great actor but also a creative director.” About the subject matter of the play, Bipasha said, “I always try to write from an ethical point of view so that viewers can get some lessons from the play. This play will also encourage the viewers to think about our society.” The play was produced under the banner of Nakshatra Chhalachitra and it will be aired on Banglavision on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
