A school teacher was detained Monday morning in Rajshahi city on charge of trying to violate a student. The Shah Makhdhum police officer-in-charge, Hafizur Rahman, said arrestee Sajedur Rahman Mithun tried to rape a nine-year-old girl in Baya Bazar area of the city as the victim went to his house for dirking water.
Local people caught the miscreant as the girl cried for help and handed him over to the police, the OC said.
A case was filed against the arrestee, the OC
added.
