Bangladesh cricket team have reached West Indies safely and had their first training session in Granada on Friday, said an official. Manager Habibul Bashar told New Age over phone from Grenada that they did not face too many difficulties on their way to the Caribbean apart from a slight delay in Dubai. ‘We had a slight delay in Dubai, but it was nothing serious. The boys are happy to be here safely,’ said Bashar.
‘Some players were yet to receive their kits as 12 luggages did not arrive with us.
‘So there could be slight problem in first day’s training, but we will make some alternative arrangement. The airlines authority promised that they will deliver the luggage tomorrow [Saturday].’
Bangladesh will begin their campaign in West Indies with the first one-day international on August 20 at Grenada’s Progress Park.
