Bangladesh team are looking forward to starting their campaign in the West Indies with a full-fit squad when they play their first practice against Granada national team today.
The Tigers completed a full-fledged practice session on Saturday, despite several players still missing their kit bags that was supposed to reach them in 24 hours, ‘We had a good practice session and all the member of the squad are fully fit,’ manager Habibul Bashar told New Age over phone from Granada.
‘We are expecting our kits before we start the match,’ said Bashar.
The former national captain added that the Tigers could face a tough challenge in the practice match as Granada named a strong squad featuring several players who are part of the West Indies Twenty20 squad.
The squad, led by Andrew Fletcher, has also included Nelon Pascal and Devon Smith.
‘It will be good as the opposition is strong,’ said Bashar. ‘We would like to see if there is any possibility of fielding 13 players as that would give most of us an opportunity to adapt to the condition.’
Bangladesh will play their first two one-day internationals of the three-match series at the Progress Park in Granada.
