The fourth installation of popular science fiction action film Transformers, which is titled Transformers: Age of Extinction will hit the screen of the country today at Star Cineplex of Basundhara City. The release of the film in USA is also scheduled today. The film was premiered for invited guests yesterday evening. Star Cineplex has previously arranged to screen some of the most famous Hollywood films along with their USA release such as Skyfall in Bond Series, followed by the super hero series- Iron Man, Super Man, Thor, Spider Man, X- Men.
‘Launch of same-day release with the rest of the world is an initiative taken by Star Cineplex. We try to bring international films to our audience at the same time it releases in the rest of world’, said Munimul Islam, advisor to Star Cineplex. Munimul also added that such same-day release always creates excitement among the local film lovers.
Transformers: Age of Extinction stars Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. A sequel to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the film takes place four years after the invasion of Chicago. Like its predecessors, the film is directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg.
The previous three installations of the film had remarkable audience reception and witnessed outstanding numbers in revenues. The three films also stayed in the box office raking in millions of dollars. The series is already ranked as the highest-grossing film series and fourth when averaged to gross per film, behind the Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
The new Transformers 4: Age of Distinction will describe more details of the previous battles in the war between machines and portray the vendetta from different angles. Optimus Prime played by Peter Cullen returns and, once again, the action will be embedded into the scenes surrounding the final confrontation.
