Two people were killed in separate incidents on Monday in capital’s Hazaribagh and Shampur areas.
The victims were identified as Alen Hossain Rana, 30, and Ismat Ara, 28.
Abdur Rasid, officer-in-charge of Shampur police station, told New Age that they recovered blood-drenched body of Alen Hossain Rana in front of National Bank Dholaipar brach in the morning.
Rana was stabbed indiscriminately in the abdomen and there was also a black spot in the throat.
OC suspected that Rana was strangled to death and then stabbed.
There were 10 cases filed against Rana with Shampur and Kadomtoli police stations.
At Hazaribagh, police recovered the body of Ismat Ara from the third floor of a building at Basila.
Hazaribagh police officer-in-charge Md Iqbal Hossain said she was strangled to death by unknown miscreants.
