At least two people were killed in separate road accidents in Thakurgaon and Pabna on Tuesday evening and yesterday.
Our correspondent from Thakurgaon reports: A youth was crushed under the wheels of a power-tiller at Rahmanpur village under Sadar upazila yesterday.
The victim was identified as Alamgir, 20, son of Nazrul Islam of the same village.
Police said the accident took place at about 10:00am when Alamgir fell down from the power-tiller and crushed under its wheels while he was carrying organic fertiliser to his crop field, leaving Alamgir dead on the spot.
Our correspondent from Pabna adds: One person was killed in a road accident on the Ishwardia-Pakshey road at Velupar in Ishwardid upazila on Tuesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Saral, 19, son of Taizul Islam of village Char-Naricha Bagbaria under the same upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a Kushtia-bound speedy truck run over him while he was crossing the road, leaving Saral dead on the spot.
