The Dhaka University authorities on Wednesday suspended a total of 99 students for different terms for adopting unfair means during examinations.
The DU syndicate in a meeting yesterday evening took the decision following a recommendation from the university’s Disciplinary Board, said a press release.
DU VC Prof Akhtaruzzaman chaired the meeting.
Of the 99 students, five were suspended for five years, 53 for three years, and 39 for two years. Besides, midterm or in-course examinations of two students have been canceled, added the release.
Earlier on Tuesday, the university’s Disciplinary Board recommended the suspension of the 99 for their offenses, said DU Proctor Prof Maksudur Rahman, also a member secretary of the university’s disciplinary body, today.
