Paul Polman, chief executive officer of Unilever Plc, visited Bangladesh on Wednesday and Thursday as part of his regular visit to key Unilever markets across the world, said a news release. He was accompanied by Sanjiv Mehta, executive vice-president-South Asia Cluster of Unilever.
Kamran Bakr, chairman and managing director of Unilever Bangladesh, and the management committee of Unilever Bangladesh had detailed engagements with Polman on the business strategy and the growth opportunity for Unilever in Bangladesh.
This is Polman’s second visit to Bangladesh.
During his visit, Polman addressed employees of Unilever Bangladesh and gave an overview of Unilever’s strategy and the positive contribution being made by markets like Bangladesh to the global business growth.
He also met various stakeholder representatives including industry leaders, development partners, government officials and prominent personalities of the country.
