Mili is again being paired opposite Chancal Chowdhury, her “Monpura co-star, in an ntv Eid-special play, titled “Bibor”. According to the actress, “I play the wife of a renowned singer-composer. The story revolves around this couple; the wife is also a good vocalist but gives up singing after marriage at her husband’s request. Her father, however, wants his daughter to use her talents and develop her career. The play is being directed by Ejaz Munna.”
Mili also turns to comedy with the play “Kathal Shokto”. She says, “The play is directed by Pyaar Muhammad and I am paired opposite Shahid-uzzaman Selim. The play is about a couple and their association with kathal or jackfruit. The couple has been married for over a year and the husband owns a jackfruit farm. So far, not a single jackfruit has been given to the wife’s parents. She comes to visit her parents and is waiting for her husband to take her home. The husband, meanwhile, is bringing jackfruits for his in-laws for the first time and funny things start to happen.”
Mili continues, “I have also done a romantic comedy which will also be aired during Eid. The play is about a young man who is willing to go to any lengths to win the heart of the character I play.”
Talking about her work, she says, “There is always this challenge that I have to deliver my best in each shot and I do try my best. My objective is to deliver performances that people will remember me for. I’m rarely satisfied with my work and each time I feel that I could have done better. I guess I am learning with each experience.”
