Viqarunnisa Noon School and College will draw the admission lottery for Class I in December 21–22, authorities said.
The principal, Husne Ara Begum, told New Age on Tuesday the authorities had made all the preparations for the draw. ‘We want to draw the lottery in a fair, transparent manner for admission to Class I. Anyone can attend the draw.’
She said the lottery would be drawn by the department of electrical and electronic engineering of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
Viqarunnisa has 1,568 vacant seats for Class I but the draw will be held for 1,444 seats as others are reserved for teacher and employees and in other quotas.
The authorities told New Age that they had sold 22,119 admission forms this year. ‘But some of the forms would be cancelled during scrutiny. The scrutiny is going on,’ they said.
