Walton Mobile became the title sponsor of the Bangladesh-South Africa women’s Twenty20 series after the company signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Cricket Board on Monday.
Walton, a sister concern of RB Group, came forward to help the BCB as both the parties held fruitful talks regarding the sponsorship after the Board failed to find any sponsor for the One-Day International series that the visitors won 2-1.
The three-match T20 series will be played on September 11, 12 and 14 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Walton agreed to sponsor the T20 series in a bid to encourage women’s cricket in Bangladesh. ATN Bangla will telecast all the matches live from the Mirpur stadium.
