A boy attacked a woman after she had protested at his harassing her daughter at Wazirpur in Barisal on Wednesday morning
The family said Masud Shikdar, 17, a resident of Kamalapur in the upazila, had attacked Shahinur Begum, 35, about 7:30am on Wednesday.
Shahinur said Masud had beaten her up when she filed a complaint with Masud’s guardians about his harassing her daughter, a Class VII student of the WB Institution for about seven months.
Masud offered to marry her but the family did not agree to the proposal considering the tender age of the girl, Shahinur said.
Masud on Wednesday morning entered the girl’s house and beat Shahinur up. Shahinur was later sent to upazila health complex, the family said.
