Government plans to launch a project to impart outsourcing training to women aimed at earning online, official sources said. They said information and communication technology ministry has designed the project titled ‘Bari Bosey Borolok’ to provide outsourcing training for 13,400 women of the country.
The cost of the project has been estimated at Tk 9.88 crore setting target of implementation within one year starting from October 2013.
A meeting on preparation of the training module of the project and selection of women for training was held on Sunday at the ICT ministry with its secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan in the chair.
‘Women are always sincere to make her contribution in the family. That’s why we have decided to give outsourcing training to women so they can impart training to other members of their family,’ said ICT secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan.
He said the women from districts and upazilas would be picked for training in online earning.
Bangladesh is now an outsourcing destination for the world and women will get opportunity to work in the field if they were provided with outsourcing training, he added.
Khan said in line with its digitisation programme, the government has already established 4516 Union information service centers to ensure people’s access to public services and now various training including outsourcing and e-Commerce will be launched in the rural areas to create employment there.
