A number of young singers took training on people’s songs at a workshop held at the research room of the Music and Dance Centre of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on November 15 and 16.
Dhaka city branch of Udichi Shilpigoshthi organised the two-day workshop where elementary knowledge on people’s songs, its relation to mass people’s culture, its pronunciation and the use of instruments in people’s songs was imparted to the attendees.
Kamal Lohani, Mahmud Selim, Habibul Alam, Shankar Sauzal, Shahin Sardar, Selim Reza, Sohana Ahmed and Belayet Hossain conducted the workshop which ended with distribution of certificates to the attendees.
