Young photographers present country’s scenic pictures, impact of climatic change and cityscapes by in a group photography exhibition at the Drik Gallery, Dhaka.
The exhibition titled ‘10:10 Photofest 2012’ exhibits photographs in three categories: Natural Wonders of Our Country, Climatic Disaster or Climate Refugee in Bangladesh and The Urban Jungle. The exhibition displaying 90 photographs also includes a competition.
Ismail Ferdous has won first prize in the climatic disaster category for his photography titled Climate Refugee featuring a portrait of a climate refugee. Mohammad Shawkat Ali has won the first prize in the natural wonder category for his photograph titled Islands of the Clouds, which depicts a wonderful landscape taken in the hilly area of Bandarbans. AJ Ghani’s photograph titled My City, winner of category Urban Jungle, gives a mysterious look of the skyscrapers of Dhaka city taken from the opposite side of a colourful glass-window.
The exhibition also displays some wonderful photographs dealing with the themes of the show. Moreover, children display materials from recycled wastes at the show oraganised climate change campaigning orgnisation 10:10 Bangladesh, the Bangladesh wing of 10:10 Global. The exhibition will end today.
