Speakers at a youth festival in Rajshahi city on Sunday said the involvement of youth in national development is essential. In fact, youths play one of the most important roles in nation building, they said. Non government organisation Action for Community Development organised the daylong youth festival in its conference room Attending the programme as chief guest, additional deputy commissioner Bazlur Rashid said the contribution of youth is essential for national development.
Chaired by Rajshahi University pro-vice-chancellor Choudhury Sarwar Jahan, the programme was addressed, among others, by Rajshahi Press Club president Anowarul Alom Fatik, local daily Sonar Desh editor Fazlul Haque, cultural officer of Rajshahi Shilpakola Academy Farukur Rahman Foisal, ACD project coordinator Ehsanul Amin Emon, program officer Nahid Sultana Borsha.
