The noted actor Zahid Hasan will be seen in Eid special drama serial titled False Item. The forth episode of the five-episode drama series will be aired today at 6:15pm on Boishakhi TV.
Written by Zakir Hossain Ujjal and directed by Shamim Zaman, the drama series depicts the life of some swindlers who consider themselves as good people but others in the locality see them otherwise. Besides, Zahid Hasan, the play also stars Mir Sabbir, Shamim Zaman, Bindu, and many others.
‘The play has a nice story and the making is good so I believe the audience will like it,’ said the Zahid Hasan while sharing about his Eid projects with New Age.
Zahid Hasan has acted in several teleplays this Eid-Ul-Azha. ‘I love all my teleplays that I have acted in and can’t say anything special about any one or two teleplays,’ added Hasan.
However, it is the story and the role that influenced the capable actor when it comes to deciding which teleplay to act in. ‘I firstly go through the story and then minutely analyse the character I am offered. I only take on the play, if both the character and the story are good,’ further informed Zahid, who is also a very successful director.
In this Eid-Ul-Azha festival, four plays directed by the capable artiste Hasan was aired on different channels on different days of Eid festival.
Hasan-directed plays this festival includes Preity O Subhechchha for the private channel ATN Bangla, Swapna Drissho for NTV, Jhograpur for Banglavision and Retired Chor for RTV.
Hasan also shared that direction is quite difficult because the director has to maintain many things at once, whereas during acting it is actually a pleasant experience for him.
‘Acting is my passion while direction is just an interest,’ says actor turned director Zahid Hasan, who has directed the mega serials like Lal Nil Beguni. Other serials that he has directed include Ghughur Basha, Chor Kuthhuri, Eka and Chhonno Chhara. His one-hour TV plays and telefilms include Rumjhum, Boka Manush, Byabodhan, Shopno Groho, Opu: the Great Private Detective and Baundule Express.
Zahid Hasan, who won the National Award for his stunning performance in Humayun Ahmed’s Srabon Megher Din, also informed that he is planning to start up acting in a new film next year.
Zahid Hasan was born in Sirajganj, and it was there that he joined his first theatre group Sirajganj Torun Shomproday Natya Dol. He performed for a while across north Bengal with the group. His regular performances were in the play Shat Purusher Rin. He passed the BTV audition in 1989 and then acted on his first teleplay Jibon Jemon in 1990. Since then Hasan has never looked back and has been entertaining the audience with his lively performance.
