GM Ziaur Rahman shared the lead in the Chennai Super Kings 5th International Grand Masters Chess Tournament at the close of the second round yesterday.
Zia, along with 48 other players, was on top with two points from two games as the Bangladeshi Grand Master beat India’s S Prasannaa in the second round.
After winning the first game, GM Niaz Murshed drew against India’s Harihara Sudan to collect 1.5 points while his compatriots Saif Uddin, Jamal Uddin, Kazi Taherul Islam, Anisuzzaman Jewel and SM Sharon have one point each while Rana Chow-dhury has half a point.
