A 13-year-old Indian boy has made history by being the youngest player sold in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for 11 million rupees, about €125,000 or $130,000.
He will be trained by former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid and will play alongside several national team players, including Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Suryavanshi, a left-handed batsman from Bihar, gained attention in 2024 after joining his state team at just 12 years old.
He was selected for the India under-19 team in September, where he scored a century against older players, despite having only one professional T20 match before joining the IPL
