A total of 18 Bangladeshi youths today returned home from Greece after enormous suffering abroad. Official sources said, the Bangladeshi youths landed at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) this morning by an Emirate flight with the help of International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and Bangladesh Embassy in Greece. “Unidentified international brokers have misappropriated huge amount of money from these youths before their return,” the sources added.
Immigration and Armed Police Battalion (APBN) officials at HSIA told the news agency that all the youths went to Dubai, Pakistan and Iran a few months back with valid passports and visas, but they flied for Greece through international brokers from their earlier destinations. The brokers realized Taka four to five lakh from each of these youths and went into hiding.
