‘Chemical’ Throwing on Girl
2 classmates arrested
Police yesterday arrested two students of Rajshahi Education Board Model School and College in connection with the Saturday’s “chemical” throwing on its female student.
Arrestees–Sabbir Ahmed and Abdullah Nobel–are the classmates of victim Sanjida Islam Tanni, said police. They are the students of class VIII.
Sabbir was arrested from the school compound while Nobel from his house in the city’s Assam Colony following Sabbir’s statement.
“Both the arrestees are underage and so, they were being handled as per the rules,” said Sub-Inspector Hafijur Rahman, also investigation officer in the case, filed by victim’s father Tarikul Islam.
