The one song that didn’t make it to the cut was Doja Cat’s ‘vegas’ from Baz Luhrmann’s ‘Elvis’. It was declared ineligible because the song wasn’t entirely original. Jasmin Selberg of Germany crowned Miss International 2022

German contestant Jasmin Selberg won the title of Miss International 2022 on Tuesday, December 13 at the Tokyo, Japan finals.

Jasmin is the fourth German to win the crown, and she beat out 65 other contestants to do so.

Jasmin took over the title from Bint Sireethorn Leearamwat, Miss International 2019, in 2019.

Since both the 2020 and 2021 editions of the pageant were called off owing to the COVID-19 epidemic, Thailand’s Bint kept her title for over three years.

Farmers find hope in solar-powered irrigation

Life is easier now for Abu Taleb, 45, a potato farmer of Saddyo Puskuruni village in Rangpur.

A year ago, high irrigation costs for diesel-run pumps, which he bore out-of-pocket, made it difficult for him to provide for his three children.

Now, after switching to solar-powered irrigation, his livelihood has changed for the better. “I can now afford new clothes and nutritious food for my family,” he said.

The 100th video on Shelu Barua’s YouTube channel

Shelu Barua, a singer of Nazrul Sangeet, made a YouTube channel called “Nazrul Sangeet Adi Sure” to teach Nazrul Sangeet to music students. He had only put 20 videos on this channel when he started.
Now, the artist has a total of 100 videos under his belt.

The 100th video uploaded to his channel is titled “Jare Hat Diye Mala Dite Paronai”, a special song because Shelu himself sang it in front of Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The noted singer created the YouTube channel with the goal of teaching the original melodies and lyrics of Nazrul Sangeet to music enthusiasts.
