Golden Chess Club maintained their solo lead in the points table of the Philosophia 2nd Division Chess League with 10 points after 5th round games held at the
Bangladesh Chess Federation Hall Room on Friday.
Debadas Biswas Smirity Sangsad followed the leader with eight points.
Bangladesh Police placed in 3rd position with seven points while Pabna Daba Club and Rajshahi Daba Unnayan Sangstha shared the 4th position with six points.
In the day’s 5th round games, Golden Chess beat Rajshahi Daba Unnayan Sangstha by 3-1 points, Debadas Biswas Sangsad beat Dhanmondi Lake Chess Club by 3.5-0.5 points, Bangladesh Police beat Perfect Fashion Chess Club by 3-1 points, Pabna Chess Club beat Shahid Rony Shariful Daba Sangha by 4-0 points, Gendaria Friends Chess Club beat Sheikh Russel Chess Club by 2.5-1.5 points and Nahar Chess Academy beat Sonargaon Chess Club by 4-0 points.
The 6th round games will be held tomorrow from 3:00 pm at the same venue.
