Police recovered the bodies of three youths from a paddy field at Sorail village under Panchbibi upazila in Jaipurhat Monday afternoon.
The identity of the youths, aged between 22 and 25, could not be known immediately. Two of them were beheaded. Panchbibi police said that locals found the bodies of the three, wearing jeans pants, shirts and jackets, at the paddy field near Nikar Dighi and informed them of it around 2:45pm.
Later, police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent them to Jaipurhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy in the evening, Panchbibi police officer-in-charge Nur Hossain told New Age.
He said that police also recovered a moneybag, a SIM card and two handsets from the spot.
The OC suspects that unidentified miscreants might have killed the trio by slitting their throats some time in the early hours of Monday. The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately, he added.
No case was filed with the police station and no arrest made in this connection, the OC said.
