The preliminary test of the 31st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Examinations under the Public Service Commission (PSC) will be held on May 27.
The decision on the examination was taken at a meeting of the commission at the PSC on Thursday, said PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) AYM Naser Uddin.
About 1.68 lakh candidates are expected to appear at the test at 118 centres in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal and Sylhet simultaneously at 10:00am, he added.
On January 26, PSC published the advertisement on 31st BCS against the 2,108 vacant posts of general and technical or professional cadres.
