A four-day Digital Innovation Fair began on Wednesday in Sylhet city to make popular the internet services in the society.
Prime minister’s private secretary Nazrul Islam Khan, also project director of Support to Digital Bangladesh, inaugurated the fair as chief guest at the Mohammad Ali Gymnasium of the Sylhet Stadium compound in the city on Wednesday morning.
The Sylhet divisional commissioner, NM Ziaul Alam, attended the inaugural ceremony as special guest while the deputy commissioner, Khan Mohammed Bilal, chaired the programme.
A total of 36 institutions that include Sylhet District Police, Sylhet Dak Bibhag, Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited, Bangladesh Computer Council, Income Tax Department, Roads and Highways Department, Health Department and different private banks have set up stalls in the fair, organised by the district administration.
The fair will remain open for all from 10:00am to 8:00pm till June 2.
