Internet connections in Bangladesh were totally disconnected for three hours on Thursday morning between 2:00am and 5:00am due to repairs carried out on the submarine
cable between Singapore and Malaysia.
Managing director of the Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited Monowar Hossain told New Age that the internet connection in Bangladesh was disconnected for three
hours.
He said BSCCL shut down the connections because the Submarine Cable Consortium of South Asia, Middle East and Western Europe replaced a repeater submarine cable.
BSCCL chose this particular time so that internet users would not face much trouble.
