The main opposition BNP-led 18-party alliance may go for another spell of nationwide 48-hour hartal or blockade programme from Monday to stoke up its movement for holding the next general election under a non-partisan caretaker government (CG). To make the programme final, BNP chairperson and leader of the opposition Khaleda Zia will sit with her party’s policymakers and alliance partners before the announcement of the programme,
According to the sources, all-party poll-time interim government may be formed on November 15. Besides, the Election Commission (EC) may announce schedule for the 10th parliamentary election November 16.
The 18-party alliance may announce the 48-hour hartal or blockade programme from Monday to restrain the government and the EC from going for the lopsided poll, BNP sources said.
The 18-party will also hold blockade programme soon after announcement of the election schedule, sources said.
